Tailored Hydrotherapy Sessions
Swimming and gentle stretching in water allows recovery to start much earlier following surgery or injury. The warm water and increased range of limb movements, which may not be possible on land, helps to promote circulation which in turn aids healing.
When practised by trained individuals, hydrotherapy allows a dog to begin a carefully monitored and controlled treatment programme. Over a number of sessions, the dog can improve mobility, regain muscle tone and return to a pre-operative fitness level.
Each hydrotherapy session will be tailored to an individual dog’s condition and fitness level. We require a veterinary referral form to be completed prior to any treatment. Do not be concerned about the length of time that your dog is able to swim in the early stages. It is more important to assess the fitness level and the best hydrotherapy technique and build on this in each subsequent session.
You have no need to worry, knowing your canine hydrotherapy treatment is in the hands of our highly trained team.
